Bolo Tie with Bali Silver Box Bead

This bolo tie is made with glass seed beads, secondhand Bali silver beads and a large Bali silver box bead. The necklace portion is about 23” around with another 5” of the necklace coming down the front. It has a sterling silver clasp.

These bolo tie necklaces are inspired by my time in Colorado and the western wear I’m surrounded by.

Bolo ties originated in the 1930s, when Native American men of several tribes tied bandanas around their necks with string or shell or bone pieces.
