Bolo Tie Necklace in Obsidian & Agate

This bolo tie is made with Japanese glass seed beads, secondhand Bali Silver beads and a large agate and obsidian stone. The necklace portion is about 16.25” around with another 4” of the necklace coming down the front. It has a sterling silver clasp.

These bolo tie necklaces are inspired by my time in Colorado and the western wear I’m surrounded by.

Bolo ties originated in the 1930s, when Native American men of several tribes tied bandanas around their necks with string or shell or bone pieces.
